About our Math Department
At Law & Tech our math department believes that student learn math best when they have opportunities to actually do the math. Our students work on challenging problems, share their thinking with others, and use their thinking to build and deepen understanding. We offer courses in Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics, and Personal Finance. We also offer our 11th grade students a SAT preparation for taking the SAT in the Spring of their 11th grade school-year. In addition to our core courses, students who are successful in our math courses have the opportunity to take a Personal Finance course offered through Syracuse University which is taught by one of our own math teachers, Mr. Graham. Students who successfully complete the course can earn 3 credits towards college.
